About UPES Dehradun Established in 2003, UPES Dehradun is a recognized university under the UPES Act by the Uttarakhand State Assembly. Known for its industry-focused curriculum, it is accredited by the UGC, graded 'A' by NAAC, and ranked by NIRF. It also holds a QS 5-star rating for Employability, Academic Development, and Facilities. UPES offers courses in Management, Engineering, Science, and more at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. With nine schools, the university provides over 20 specialized UG and PG programs. Entrance exams like UPESEAT, UPESMET, UPESPAT, and ULSAT are accepted for admission. UPES Dehradun Campus
The UPES campus in Dehradun spans 44 acres, divided between the Bidholi campus (30 acres) and the Kandoli campus (12 acres). It is a green campus with a built-up area of 933,000 sq. ft., offering modern facilities for students and staff. Classrooms at UPES provide a seating capacity of 10,000+ students and are equipped with smart technologies like LCD projectors, wireless mics, attendance card readers, and Wi-Fi. The computer center features advanced systems with 1 Gbps internet, 9,000+ computers, and 70 servers. Software alliances with companies like IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, and SAP enhance learning, and Cloud Labs offers training in cloud technologies. The UPES library holds 1,09,625+ publications, 5,443 e-journals, and sector-specific portals for oil, gas, and power. It accommodates 725 students and includes an e-enabled Learning Management System for better student-teacher interaction. Hostel facilities are available for 2,000+ students on a triple-sharing basis, with separate accommodations for boys and girls. Fees range from ₹1,57,500 to ₹1,97,750, depending on amenities like attached washrooms and air conditioning (for girls). An additional ₹10,000 refundable security fee is required. Hostels have recreational areas, playgrounds, and reading rooms. The university also provides medical care, and transportation, and hosts various events, including the Annual Youth Festival (UURJA), Athletics Meet, and Blood Donation Camp.
